Maelstrom of margarine


I am not a morning person. At the time that I took this picture, I was sitting at the kitchen table and wishing that I could still be in bed and finishing off yet another happy dream.

So I pointed the lens down at this oil-laden landscape in the hope that some photographic silliness would help jump-start my day. I don't think I succeeded, but I really like this picture for reasons I cannot explain.

    Strangely enough, it immediately reminded me of the sculptures in Versailles, which appear to emerge out of the solid rock.

    And that was before I read your post. If you havn't seen them here is an example which I just uploaded to my flickr photostream. The previous 2 pictures are also from Versailles.

    Now at first glance I was like yuk and can see why you would not want to get up in the mornings:) I just had quick glance and didn't make it out as margerine as of that point. Hello, Michele sent me.

    I'm not a morning person either Carmi, so I totally sympathise. When i look at your picture I think "I'd prefer butter". I think waffles would make interesting pictures!

    Yeeeeeuch!!! I hate margerine!! Oily, tasteless, bland...those are the words that come to mind. Now butter...different story entirely.
