A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

Wordless Wednesday - Juiced
Glowing glass of golden nutrition
London, ON, November 2007 [Click to embiggen]
Your turn: Does this make you thirsty?
One more thing: Juice is a recurring photographic theme for me. Click here, here, here and here for past examples of liquified fruity goodness. Odd, I know. I offer no explanations or excuses. I am what I am.

HEHEHE! I love Wordless Wednesday! I finally got the Christmas picture done, and the cards ordered today! Check it out!
ReplyDeleteI am pretty thirsty!
ReplyDeleteMy Wordless Wednesday is up too! :)
Looks like iced tea - without the ice! My husband recently purchased a juicer - the girls have a wonderful time trying new creations!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful image--have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteLooks fresh and delicious! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...that looks good.
ReplyDeleteFour big golden WW stars for you.
Take care

It makes me CURIOUS, not thirsty. What is it exactly?
ReplyDeleteI like the alternative view you chose here...for all we know, the glass IS half ;).
Robin @ PENSIEVE
It does not look like juice to me
ReplyDeleteah~ you enjoyed a sip for your WW, too
ReplyDelete(:
What does it say about me that I thought it was beer until I read the caption?
ReplyDeleteOh my can i have a swallow of juice?
ReplyDeletemine is here http://happymomiam.blogspot.com/2007/12/wordless-wednesday-fall-trees.html
Mmmm.... juicy deliciousness :P
ReplyDeleteYes, it makes me thirsty. I snapped a full glass pic recently, but not quite this close. I like yours better.
ReplyDeleteGreat, you just reminded me I need to go eat. ;P
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
This shows how much you lose by not showing the top of the drink. ?For some reason I went right to the picture and skipped the title, and my first assumption was that the picture contained a beer. (Probably says more about me than anything else.) Since I wasn't sure what it was, my reaction was similar to Robin's; I was curious rather than thirsty.
ReplyDeleteI, too, thought it was beer at first.
ReplyDeleteI'm on an apple cider kick these days (not hard cider, either).
It's so clear and crisp and cold, and just enough sweetness.
My WW post is here.
Good stuff, Maynard!
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks so much better than my Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi. :(
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Gee, Carmi, it looks like Scotch to me. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWarm tea? Or apple juice?
ReplyDeleteLove your juice photos, by the way.
I'll post updates on the conference, if you are interested. Thanks for visiting, too :)
I love iced tea! My son loves iced tea! Yeah, we are thirsty!
ReplyDeleteSo that's apple juice? :D For fruit juice, I like watermelon or veggie juices, carrot + celery.

ReplyDeleteI don't know - but great shot !
ReplyDeleteHey Carmi,
ReplyDeleteHave been a little busy with going to New Zealand and all, so I am sorry for not stopping by more often...
Great pic, love the framing/perspective. Ours is up as well...
Happy WW!!
I left a word off my comment? Must've been the late hour...that was NOT an intended omission (because I DO see you as a half FULL kinda guy).
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty funny to read comments this morning. Right after yours:
"...hard to believe anyone wouldn't be captivated by the texture..."
someone said:
"...and it really doesn't appeal [to] me either...".
Beauty (or something like that) IS in the eye of the beholder!
Robin @ PENSIEVE
It does make me thirsty! What a cool shot!
ReplyDeleteIf it's iced tea I'll have a glass.
ReplyDeleteyep, it makes me thirsty...so I guess I need another Diet Coke! LOL
ReplyDeletelooks like the elixir of life!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comment on my photo. I'm only just beginning to play with photoshop, I've got a long way to go.
happy WW!
It's juice?? I thought it was beer... Hahaha! I hope you noticed the glass of beer in my WW post. LOL! ALso, thanks for your comment! Please stop by anytime!! Cheers from Boston=:)
ReplyDeleteThat does make my mouth water! I love juice too.
ReplyDeleteHey! I have those same glasses!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the image I thought, "yum! Beer!." But juice is good, too! ;-D
Mmmmmm - looks refreshing!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Holly
I also would prefer a beer but then a full glass and not a half like on the picture, lol !
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Thanks for visiting my blog and Happy WW!

Juice! My fave!
ReplyDeleteNo actually I thought it was whiskey or some other dark liquor at first... Wait, is it a bad thing that that's what I think of at 8:40 on a Wed morn? Hehe, happy WW :P
ReplyDeleteIt does make me thirsty. ;)
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was juice at first, though. It looks like liquor.
Good picture.
I, too, thought it was an alcoholic beverage! Yes, it makes me thirsty! Here's a link to mine http://katskrackerbox.wordpress.com/2007/12/05/wordless-wednesday-7-christmas-lights/
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of juice..i was thinking it was whiskey...thats what 4 kids does to ones mind.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm.... makes me a little thirsty. A fun photo. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteAhh, the joys of juice. I have a 2.5 year old granddaughter. Juice is her favorite word/demand.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW

If it's apple juice I went off it two nights ago after drinking some and then constantly needing to relieve myself for some strange reason.
ReplyDeleteMuch prefer orange.
That's a very cool picture! I love the way the light shines through! Is it juice? I thought it was whiskey! What does that say about me!?!?! ;)
ReplyDeleteIndeed it does. I'll have a glass of iced tea, with lots of ice, please.
ReplyDeleteI am thirsty...and hungry, time for lunch!
ReplyDeleteI am up here so, stop on over! :)
Lovely photo. I love juice. We have a juicer, and I love using it. Cleaning it after? Not so much.
ReplyDelete;-)
I came here through Gattina's writers cramps, hello from Central Washington, USA.
ReplyDeleteWe just bought a juicer and are having a ball learning how to make vegetable juice that isn't brown and doesn't taste like mud!! All in the mix and technique, but what a joy to try something healthy and fun!!
This morning was blueberry, raspberry, grapefruit, cranberry, tangerine juice - then in the blender with a cup of soy yogurt and 3 big globs of the pulp from the juicer!! Man I'm running around like a gerbil in a wheel today1!! WHEEEEEE!!
There is something about the color of apple juice that is really beautiful in the sun. Of course, that may not BE apple juice, but that is what I thought of! LOL Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI just finished a workout. Perfect timing! Thanks for the juice!
ReplyDeleteI love Juice, but I stay away because of all the calories. :) neat picture!
ReplyDeleteHey "brother in great mind" :-) This is definitely a great glass shot! It looks so clear...
ReplyDeleteHad to work the whole day, that's why I'm a little late...
Happy WW, anyways, Tina (Gaining insights)
Actually, yes, it does make me thirsty! Very good composition of this picture!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me want a drink. I SO need a drink right now. Please tell me it is Bourbon and not apple juice.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one of my office mates had a stash, I'm off to check...
Nice capture! Looks cold and refreshing!

ReplyDeleteMy son would have just one thing to say about that "joo"! He LOVES apple juice, so it might make him thirsty!
ReplyDeleteUnless it's not apple juice, in which case...:-|
Happy WW, love the title of your blog!
I'm always thirsty lately. Dry winter air, I think. *gulps* Oh, look... your glass is empty now. Thanks!

Yup, definitely thirsty now:-) Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteHA! That is pretty awesome. Doesn't make me thirsty - but maybe that's why santa is sitting on someone's chimney taking a dump!
ReplyDeletehttp://atomik-kitten.sisterrobin.com
Great photography! I really enjoyed my first visit to your blog.
ReplyDeleteSusan
Yes, now I'm thirsty! heh. I like to take photos of glasses, too especially when there is condensation on it as is often the case in the south. Thanks for the WW visit at Geekyhousewife.
ReplyDeleteHello Carmi!!! Oh yes it makes me thirsty!!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I was reading this Norwegian tech emagazine online and I read this article about Blackberry will go head to head with iPhone. Actually your name was also mentioned in the same article. I was wondering if it is the same Carmi that I know.
It definitely makes me thirsty!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't make me thirsty at all because it looks like a giant tumbler of bourbon!
ReplyDelete(I'm here via Michele, BTW)
ReplyDeleteActually gave me a foreboding sense of impending hangover...
ReplyDeleteI wonder what was in mine?
Hi Carmi, here from Michele.
It did make me thirsty. I am going to get a orange drink after commenting here.
ReplyDeleteOne look, Michele too would want a drink!
Michele sent me Carmi, though it looks like I skipped you--I didn't! We posted at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI AM #79???? Good Lord!
First, Happy Hanukah to you and your dear family!
Love this picture of juice, and Yes, it DOES make me thirsty!
Wow! I am not nearly as arty as y'all are. This is an awesome image.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by!
Yip, I totally thought it was beer too. :oP
ReplyDeleteLove the pic though. :o)
Thanks for the kind words on my blog. I looked at several of your pictures-- you're right, a do see some similarity in the things we notice. Cheers for power lines and odd buildings!
ReplyDelete-Spike
Great photo :)
ReplyDeletenow i need apple juice. darn you anyway.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic! It makes me want to go get another Diet Coke. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a small world! It was from your blog that I clicked over to someone else's and the circle was complete when you dropped by mine. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the perspective you used to get this shot. Happy WW!
Yes! Only in my mind I see it as tea! I wonder what Michele would say?
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm bad. I thought it was beer. But then again, I do live in Milwaukee, the beer capital of the world. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteHi Carmi! It's been ages. I'm just doing a bit of surfing and visiting. Michele sort of sent me. Hope the family (and you) are doing well.
The color on this is so rich. Great photo. It makes me VERY thirsty. :)
ReplyDelete~S
Lols, I thought it was whiskey at first. Thanks for stopping by and have a happy (belated) WW!
ReplyDeleteCarmi, I have to tell you - I didn't read the title of your post first...just saw the photo...
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was "that is the prettiest colored scotch I've seen in a while"...
What can I say!!!!
i cant seem to write this week, but I am getting a lot or WORK done, and some snow pics on a saturday morning, sunrise walk.
ReplyDeleteLife is good in the mountains
It's funny because I've scrolled up and down your page a few times during my lasts few visits and every time I saw that picture I thought "nice shot, but beer, ugh". I've never been a huge fan of beer, and then I started drinking one or two here and there, but no more because it doesn't make me feel good, and then I went out with someone who turned out to be an alcoholic with beer being the drink of choice, and that stuff took on a very unpleasant and sombre connotation for me. That's my little confession on a Sunday night! :-)
ReplyDeleteBut juice... YUM! I love juice. In fact, I could live on a liquid diet, because I love juice and soup. And cereal. Which is practically liquid because it's more than half milk, right? Right.
About the comment cheer, don't sweat it. I was probably off. Besides, every comment you leave is worth it's weight in gold and I can't say I've been neglected today as far as comments go.
Neither have you apparently... 92 comments, now 93 for this post alone?? Yeowza! The juice is popular, looks like.
Have a good night and a great week!
happy one year baby luau, post!
