I enjoy looking at the ghostly ruins and seeing the past in them :) I need to find my pictures. They ought to be around here somewhere...they're nowhere as nice as yours, though :)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10649007194044098187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449503.post-1155260161822148712006-08-10T21:36:00.000-04:002006-08-10T21:36:00.000-04:00I am part of hashing group (drinkers with a runnin...I am part of hashing group (drinkers with a running problem) and we had a beer stop in a run down building that used to be a brewery. Like many old buildings in Chicago, it is now a condo. There was a grain silo that became part of the structure, so that's actually kind of cool.Jon the Intergalactic Gladiatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13758095794354686723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449503.post-1155258778167533512006-08-10T21:12:00.000-04:002006-08-10T21:12:00.000-04:00At least for me they give me hope that if you're r...At least for me they give me hope that if you're run down and broken, maybe something cool will be remodeled.~A~https://www.blogger.com/profile/17683986824860534772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449503.post-1155258501116627832006-08-10T21:08:00.000-04:002006-08-10T21:08:00.000-04:00I like how you can see a cat and a keyhole in the ...I like how you can see a cat and a keyhole in the broken glass :)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06847431834080815391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449503.post-1155248348680663722006-08-10T18:19:00.000-04:002006-08-10T18:19:00.000-04:00I don't know that any have inspired me. This is an excellent topic you've chosen. Across from the university I graduated from in 1999 they have razed 4 blocks of tenaments. There is an old abandoned Arby's. I look forward to it's demise, as this is where a friend of mine's sister was abducted and never found. So, while I love the renewal of abandoned buildings with fascinating architecture, this is but one example of a building I wsh would be removed to perhaps help a grieving family suffer a bit less.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16539850495318868267noreply@blogger.com
