To jumpstart my brain into writing more articles that challenge readers, anger members of my extended family, and generally get society all hot and bothered, I thought I'd dig into the archives and paste this inspiring wave of color. Does this work?

A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

Sunflowers? If I am correct thanks for the smile Carmi... I long for the warm days of summer.
ReplyDeleteWow, if I was really, really mean, I'd tell you that we already have flowers that nice out here in sunny Vancouver...
ReplyDeleteAnd what a lovely, mellow color it is. It oozes warmth. Thanks, Carmi.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a water slide - fun!
ReplyDeleteIt must be a sunflower! It makes me think of summer on my grandparent's farm when I was a kid. Yellow is my favorite color. Thanks, Carmi!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty!
ReplyDeleteHello, Michele sent me!
Very pretty :)
ReplyDeleteoh and btw
Hello, Michele sent me!
Hi Carmi, I love your pictures. (incl. the lights)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I tried to post a comment on the previous post a day ago but couldn't.
ReplyDeletethis reminds me of an obscuted photo i once of boiled peanuts... equally beautiful.
ReplyDeletelooks vaguely like flower petals to me...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful doesn't seem to cover it.
ReplyDeleteI love the color and the movement. It reminds me of a hypnotic, undersea creature.
ReplyDeleteNot only is the color wonderful but it has a great feeling of texture that you don't always see in flower photos. Warm and velvety but smooth. Nice.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first photo I'm seeing on your site, b/c I'm a new visitor. Yes, it works! The photo evokes a sensual warm feel to it. I have a very active imagination so I'm not going to guess *all* the things this photo could "really" be. That's not the point anyway of certain photos. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the flow of the curvy lines. The black in the upper right corner (and even the small bit of black in the lower left) serve as a contrast to bring the viewer's eye back into and over the lovely lines and forms of your piece.
I touched on this above, but to be clearer, I enjoy the mysterious, somewhat abstract quality of the piece. (Yellow is not one of my favorite colours, but I'm drawn to the photo.) *very nice! :)
