It’s usually accompanied by a little grumbling and whining. Okay, maybe not a little.
But on occasion you’ll stop and see something that makes you pause. A tiny little moment of wonder that reminds you that there’s a bright side to the cold and the snow and the murk.
I found mine on the door handle, and just had to engage in a little bit of guerilla driveway photography before I got rid of it all with the snowbrush.
It’s just an icicle, really, but for a brief moment it was a silent antidote to an otherwise grey day, a tiny slice of perfection sitting in plain sight - but only if I slowed myself down and took the time to look for it.
I hope you find your icicle today, as well.
