A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.
I shoot in black-and-white, mostly. Colour, IMO, has to be used carefully. Like here. It isn't the purple that makes it: it's the contrast between the purple and the green.
Very nice photo. I grew up in upstate New York, in Rochester. I loved the fall colors on the trees, the enormous and plentiful trees. I don't miss the cold here in Texas, but definitely miss the trees, the hills, the color. This year we had an extremely rainy June, a cool July and August, and October has been warmer than usual. Somehow this combo has given us color changes in the trees we don't normally see. I'll have to post a photo for you later.
