King of the world speaks

I'm not a huge fan of James Cameron. Come to think of it, I'm not a fan at all. I find his work pretentious and derivative. Not coincidentally, this represents pretty much everything that I hate about Hollywood films as well.

Still, Wired Magazine had him write about his view of the future. And wouldn't ya know it, but he's a big booster of getting humans to Mars. Wow, first Leo going down with the Titanic, and now this.

His missive is called The Drive to Discover. And in case you were wondering, there's no picture of him with his arms outstretched over the bow of the ship.

I do like "The Abyss" and I hear "Point Break" was good. (from friends that likely had crushes on the actors) Otherwise, I'm with ya on the opinion. :) I'm curious though, what's wrong with the whole "going to Mars" thing? I'd imagine it'd be hotter than Earth, and rather monochromatic, which makes the idea rather bland to me personally, but I'd say...Let him go! haha!!
