Macro pink flowers

Every once in a while, I like to pull out my beloved Nikon, pop on the extension tubes and see what kinds of extreme closeups I can capture.

Your turn: What's your favorite close-up subject? If you have a picture, please post it on your blog so we can all see. If you don't, I hope you'll share your idea(s) here. After all, you never know what I'll focus on next.

  2. I'm a sucker for flowers, too. I posted one yesterday - not a close close-up, because there was a breeze unfortunately. I think it's the combination of brilliant colour and silky texture that appeals to me.

  3. That's really pretty. I've only had my digital camera for a month or so, so I'm still experimenting, but I do have one nice close up of a hydrangea posted within the entry "TGIF."

I also like doing close-ups with the zoom of people's faces, especially when they aren't posing.

  4. i like to focus on what people see every day, and most of the time don´t pay attention. Or pay attention and don´t think about. Like a tree we see in the way to work or a couple kissing in the park.

  5. As you know, I don't do photos on my blog - but I enjoy looking at extreme closeups, which is why I regularly check out Tracy's blog here http://artsyscience.blogspot.com/ - you might enjoy it too. (BTW thanks so much for your kind encouragement on Real E Fun - I've responded in my comments box there, but thought I'd say so here too as I was visiting you!)

  7. That has to be a pic of a carnation. I like flowers I guess and nature in general. Eyes are very neat close up as well.

Kids are fun too I guess - their cute noses and feet.

I don't have flowers of kids. Go figure.

    Ciao.
