Carmi on national television - again

The madness continues non-stop: I've been scheduled to appear on CTV's Canada AM tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to discuss the Microsoft-Nortel announcement.

CTV is Canada's largest private broadcasting network, and Canada AM is their equivalent of the Today Show or Good Morning America. I'm pretty excited about this.

The live segment should get underway at around 6:40 a.m. ET, so if you live in Canada and want to see me chat for a few minutes on tech stuff, I hope you'll tune in.

Your turn: What should I wear?

  1. Hello from Norway and thanks for the visit and compliments on my blog!
Woow: I do understand you are excited about this TV segment and wish you the very best luck! Living in Norway I'm sorry to say we don't get that chanel - so please keep us from other parts of the world posted!

  2. You should wear glasses. All experts wear glasses. Oh, and black or brown turtle neck.
    ;)
    Good luck!

  4. Leave the loud prints at home..lol. Whatever you wear, stay with solid colors. Earth tones work well.

  5. My guess would be, wera whatever you would wear to work. Are you more or less representing your field of work?
Have fun with it and get a copy for yourself!

  6. I think it's a little too late for you to grow a Lanny MacDonald moustache, so I'm fresh out of ideas.

I've always heard that muscle tanks have a lot of credibility;)

  10. Congrats, Carmi! Your best bet is to ask your wife what you should wear. She knows you best and what looks good and professional on you! And don't forget to have fun while doing the show. Life is too short not to enjoy it. Hope to hear all about it tomorrow!!

  11. Nice, pretty soon you're going to be too big to take calls from us little people in the trade press. Don't forget us when you're famous...:)

As for dress, if you've kept the beard (against my advice) I'd say keep going down that professorial route, cords and a tweed jacket. Smoking pipe too, of course. And lastly, and perhaps most importantly, a fake British accent.

  15. I didn't have my alarm set, but magically, or perhaps due to being sick, I awoke at 6:35pm. My first thought was to tune in, and I did. Carmi, you appeared on screen at 6:47 and you have hair! I didn't know that. As for Microsoft and Nortel, I guess that is a good thing for Canada, but I don't think their product will be all that impressive. You seemed a little rigid in the first 30 seconds, but settled in nicely. Good work.
