Air show kids

I'm making good on my somewhat benign threat to moblog from the air show. I managed to convince all three kids to tag along after overcoming their concerns over noise. We're on the shuttle bus back to the parking area...I hope this mobile geek blogging stuff works.

This is what they look like after climbing over, into and through every last military vehicle on static display, after eating their way through the knapsack that I had stuffed with snacks, after endearing themselves to every event volunteer they encountered. Oh, and they managed to see some neat planes, too.

After all that, I'm sure they'll sleep well tonight. And when they wake up tomorrow, I hope today's adventure becomes a happy forever memory for them.

Your turn: Please share a happy forever memory (I really like that term, can you tell?)

  1. I love the picture, but then again, I am biased! :)

I'm really glad you all had a great time at the air show. I have to admit (although torn about not going) I thoroughly enjoyed my day off, after such a killer week.

As always, I love your entries, but I most especially enjoy the ones that are about us.

Love ya Dude! I hope you had fun, too.

  2. They look ready to take on the world Carmi! Sounds like a real fun day for you and the kids....does this mean that mom got a break today? That has to give you some points with the Mrs...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  4. How did they get their faces so black? Looks like they had fun. I'm not sure that I remember big events so much as the quiet day to day happiness of particular times and places. Michele says hi.

  5. Carmi, you are right that days like that are the stuff of forever memories. Our beach trip was that as well, and you can come to see the photo I just posted - for MY forever memory!

  6. A Happy Forever Memory...Camp Edgewood sleepover camp as a pre-teen and sharing a pillow with a boy while sleeping on a cliff!
Here via Michele's tonight. Glad your kids had a great day, and I'm sure it'll be ingrained in their memory, forever and happy.

  7. We have an air show ten minutes from here... we've only been a few times and sadly, haven't gone at all since the kiddos have arrived. After seeing your picture and reading the post, I might just have to talk hubby into going this year!

Michele sent me tonight... but I've been here often. :)

  8. You are a good man, giving the Mrs. a day off. Could you please talk to my husband? I have quite a few happy forever memories...and most of them these days end with all of us tired, smelling of summer sunshine and cuddling in bed. Michele sent me as always!

  9. One forever happy memory is in Peggy Cove in Nova Scotia on our honeymoon almost 10 years ago. The water, rocks on the beach, the lighthouse, the wind in our hair, our goofy smiles - all etched in my soul.

  13. Forever memories.....mine is about kids too....

My god-daughter always called me Rossy (all my kids/wards have over the years) and when she and her mother emigrated I was very unhappy they had left and no one would lisp my pet-name any more. I went to visit the Aginoths and little Aginoth Junior (as was) came running to me yelling 'It's Rossy, it's Rossy!!' Mr and Mrs A beamed and I wept with joy. And the tradition continues with the girls now too....

    Nice one, my friend :-)
..and great photo of the Levylets.

  14. Michele sent me this time, Carmi.

It's so nice that your wife got the first comment this time. Given that y'all were off looking at planes it allowed her to join in. Neat.

Happy forever memory, huh? Maybe eating salt water taffy in Virginia Beach while at the ocean. That'd be around the age of 10. Another good one was searching the beach for Sand Dollars while on Jekyll Island when I was about 12. Oceans are good for memories...

Thanks so much for your very kind and caring words....it means a lot to me coming from you, my dear...!
