Windows over an alleyway

Ever notice how some out-of-the-way alleyways seem to have a million windows and other vantage points, yet no one is ever actually visible in them?

    I don't know about where you are, but here in southern Italy, I'm quite certain that the old women have some sort of invisibility potion so you can't see them in the windows even though they're obviously there (they must be because they see everything!).

    Hey,
    I know what you mean...
    When we stayed in Auckland last year, the only window in our hotel looked out onto a very bad site... Into a cavern of other buildings (one office block) all looking into each other!!! I hope that we were not visible to others!

    I'm assuming there must be a fear of standing in front a window overlooking an alley since there seems to be a phobia for everything else.

    I like the three layers the buildings create visually.

    Ordinary magic?

    I especially like the green-trimmed window in the lower part of the picture. It speaks to me.

    Pictures like that make me imagine people hanging over balconies having conversations. I know I would be. :)
