Wordless Wednesday - Craggy
Climb this
London, ON, October 2007
Some photos remind me of my mood when I took them. Yes, even I have gray days.
Your turn: I know this is Wordless Wednesday and all, but I'm a journalist. Ergo, I'm anything BUT wordless. So what do you think of this photo? Is it moody to you?

ReplyDeleteHappy WW!!
Nice picture. Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteLove the B&W photo! It's a beautiful shot...lonely and tired maybe.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Definitely moody!
ReplyDeletemakes me ponder. Not sure what I'm pondering but definitely makes me ponder.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
It's a very good shot. Nice way of making a tree trunk (or some part of a tree) look like a rocky cliff.
ReplyDeleteThat is what we're looking at, right?
It isn't particularly moody for me. At first, before I read the caption, I thought of a cliff. On a closer look, though, I noticed it might not be what it seemed.
Nope, I don't think I could climb that. Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say that this photo cheers me up, but it doesn't look like if you had a broken heart either. I think it was just a grey day for you !
ReplyDeleteIt looks cold and barren, but great photo! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteMoody, but still a great shot. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteWe all have gray days...great shot!
ReplyDeleteIt's rough-hewn and stark, and yeah, sometimes I feel just.like.THAT.
ReplyDeleteBut on MY WW this week? Yep, sometimes I feel JUST.LIKE.THAT :)!
(Mine is considerably more colorful and uplifting ;) ).
Well...for some reason I want to say ouch when I look at it...
ReplyDeleteHappy WW to you.
I think it's a perfect analogy and representation of how art and other forms of creative outlet can mirror our feelings and experiences. I love your journalistic thoughts and shares. It's why I don't miss a post.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Holly
To me it says:
ReplyDelete"I made it; part of me didn't"

Nice post! Happy Wordless Wednesday! Happy Thanksgiving too! I cant believe the holiday season is here! This weekend we will put up all our Christmas decor, and listen to Christmas music! Have a good Holiday! Come visit my blog!
ReplyDeleteThough you are Canadian, I wanted to take this 'Thanksgiving Eve' to let you know how blessed I feel to have found your blog. You are the epitome of what it means to be a true gentleman and family man and that seems to be getting more rare these days.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you...every day of the year!
The textures in an old piece of worn wood are captivating.
ReplyDeleteA wee bit moody, but striking nonetheless. Nice WW.
ReplyDeleteIntriguing ...
ReplyDeleteI'm new to WW. Stop by and see me sometime.
Happy Thanksgiving.
This sounds really crazy - but it reminds me of mountains of Flake chocolate ... the broken layers of rock look like the chocolate bar when you break it long ways down the middle. Perhaps I need to go and have a chocolate fix.
ReplyDeleteI've come via Michele - but have been trying to find my way back here all week - got you tagged now :)
Love the image!
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Michele sent me and I will be back!

ReplyDeleteI think that is a beautiful shot, but at the same time it is quite.... I don't know, sad isn't the right word, but i can't find a better one right now!
ReplyDeletei am bad with wood, ALL i see is BTU's
ReplyDeleteI love the texture in this photo. The greyness definitley makes it moody. I think it's perfect for an off day!
ReplyDeleteMichele sent me back over which was cool and brightened up my grey day :)
I could imagine that photo being a landscape with a rocky mountain. It also says "brittle" to me, which describes the kind of mood I've been in for the past few months now. There can be a lot of strength in that, but you can submit it to too much stress...
ReplyDeleteMichele sent me.
Sorry it took so long. I'm working on a new masthead and I get carried away with the letterspacing...
