AND THE ATMOSPHERIC RIVER BEGINS!

A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

In keeping with the day I will say nothing ....

Definitely moody and somewhat beautiful all at the same time.

Have a nice day!...c",)
Good call desaturating this shot, it added to the mwoodiness!
Happy WW!!
Nice picture. Happy WW.
Love the B&W photo! It's a beautiful shot...lonely and tired maybe.
Happy WW!
Definitely moody!
makes me ponder. Not sure what I'm pondering but definitely makes me ponder.
Happy WW!
It's a very good shot. Nice way of making a tree trunk (or some part of a tree) look like a rocky cliff.
That is what we're looking at, right?
It isn't particularly moody for me. At first, before I read the caption, I thought of a cliff. On a closer look, though, I noticed it might not be what it seemed.
Nope, I don't think I could climb that. Happy WW.
I wouldn't say that this photo cheers me up, but it doesn't look like if you had a broken heart either. I think it was just a grey day for you !
It looks cold and barren, but great photo! Happy WW!
Moody, but still a great shot. Happy WW!
We all have gray days...great shot!
It's rough-hewn and stark, and yeah, sometimes I feel just.like.THAT.
But on MY WW this week? Yep, sometimes I feel JUST.LIKE.THAT :)!
(Mine is considerably more colorful and uplifting ;) ).
Well...for some reason I want to say ouch when I look at it...
Happy WW to you.
I think it's a perfect analogy and representation of how art and other forms of creative outlet can mirror our feelings and experiences. I love your journalistic thoughts and shares. It's why I don't miss a post.
Hugs,
Holly
To me it says:
"I made it; part of me didn't"

I like it, it's a thoughtful shot.
Happy WW :P
Nice post! Happy Wordless Wednesday! Happy Thanksgiving too! I cant believe the holiday season is here! This weekend we will put up all our Christmas decor, and listen to Christmas music! Have a good Holiday! Come visit my blog!
Though you are Canadian, I wanted to take this 'Thanksgiving Eve' to let you know how blessed I feel to have found your blog. You are the epitome of what it means to be a true gentleman and family man and that seems to be getting more rare these days.
Blessings to you...every day of the year!
The textures in an old piece of worn wood are captivating.
A wee bit moody, but striking nonetheless. Nice WW.
Intriguing ...
I'm new to WW. Stop by and see me sometime.
Happy Thanksgiving.
This sounds really crazy - but it reminds me of mountains of Flake chocolate ... the broken layers of rock look like the chocolate bar when you break it long ways down the middle. Perhaps I need to go and have a chocolate fix.
I've come via Michele - but have been trying to find my way back here all week - got you tagged now :)
Love the image!
Awesome blog!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Michele sent me and I will be back!
Jerry in Tampa
It didn't make me feel Grey or moody but I did like it
I love that picture but I love most of your pictures
Michelle sent me to say Happy Thansgiving
michelle sent me again
I think that is a beautiful shot, but at the same time it is quite.... I don't know, sad isn't the right word, but i can't find a better one right now!
i am bad with wood, ALL i see is BTU's
I love the texture in this photo. The greyness definitley makes it moody. I think it's perfect for an off day!
Michele sent me back over which was cool and brightened up my grey day :)
I could imagine that photo being a landscape with a rocky mountain. It also says "brittle" to me, which describes the kind of mood I've been in for the past few months now. There can be a lot of strength in that, but you can submit it to too much stress...
Michele sent me.
Sorry it took so long. I'm working on a new masthead and I get carried away with the letterspacing...
