One more thing: I'm apparently becoming addicted to taking pictures of brightly colored candy - Smarties, Glosettes, Reese's Pieces, Peanut M&Ms, you name it. If it's edible, I'll shoot it. If you're hungry, you may want to pause before following these links. Just sayin'.

oh yes, "grayness" sometimes the season brings on emotional grayness but I live in southern CA. It was in the high 80's and sunny. My girls would agree that the color of M & M's is a cure all!

Seeing that in Oklahoma the temps yesterday were in the high 70's and today it will be in the low 70's....I wouldn't need the jolt of color yet. I don't think we'll ever see Fall.

i dont know about the jolt. I never really understood seasonal depression until i was trapped in a house with a toddler who wants OUT regardless of the wind, rain, cold, and misery out there.
but actually, one of the things that brightens my day is visiting you, and my other blog friends! color or no.
We have seasonal brownness, if that. When did they start making BLUE m&ms?

ooh... one of my favorite guilty pleasures! :) and i love the perspective of the photo! i definitely like to have a little color around in gray november... this month is also when i root out my candles and put them in the windows to add a little coziness, too.
All that did was make me hungry for chocolate! ...but hey Carmi, u should have used Smarties instead of M&M's ,as a canadian lol, They don't have them in the USA.

How funny, I just posted about obsessive eating habits -- specifically about salads having taken the place of the entire bags of M&M's I used to eat (but only in matching color pairs).

I love the colors and the close-up/macro. I did something similar with a box of crayons, if you are looking for more ideas with color.

Colour surges on a November day? I was able to capture some amazing colour today too..... mine can't be eaten, but consumed by the eyes. come see..........
