Wordless Wednesday - Juiced

Glowing glass of golden nutrition
London, ON, November 2007 [Click to embiggen]

Your turn:
Does this make you thirsty?

One more thing: Juice is a recurring photographic theme for me. Click here, here, here and here for past examples of liquified fruity goodness. Odd, I know. I offer no explanations or excuses. I am what I am.

  6. It makes me CURIOUS, not thirsty. What is it exactly?

I like the alternative view you chose here...for all we know, the glass IS half ;).

  11. Yes, it makes me thirsty. I snapped a full glass pic recently, but not quite this close. I like yours better.

  12. Great, you just reminded me I need to go eat. ;P

    Happy WW!

  13. This shows how much you lose by not showing the top of the drink. ?For some reason I went right to the picture and skipped the title, and my first assumption was that the picture contained a beer. (Probably says more about me than anything else.) Since I wasn't sure what it was, my reaction was similar to Robin's; I was curious rather than thirsty.

  14. I, too, thought it was beer at first.

I'm on an apple cider kick these days (not hard cider, either).

It's so clear and crisp and cold, and just enough sweetness.

    My WW post is here.

  15. Oh, that looks so much better than my Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi. :(
    Happy WW!

  16. Gee, Carmi, it looks like Scotch to me. Cheers!

  17. Warm tea? Or apple juice?
Love your juice photos, by the way.
I'll post updates on the conference, if you are interested. Thanks for visiting, too :)

  18. I love iced tea! My son loves iced tea! Yeah, we are thirsty!

  19. So that's apple juice? :D For fruit juice, I like watermelon or veggie juices, carrot + celery.

  24. I left a word off my comment? Must've been the late hour...that was NOT an intended omission (because I DO see you as a half FULL kinda guy).

It was pretty funny to read comments this morning. Right after yours:

"...hard to believe anyone wouldn't be captivated by the texture..."

    someone said:

"...and it really doesn't appeal [to] me either...".

Beauty (or something like that) IS in the eye of the beholder!

  44. I came here through Gattina's writers cramps, hello from Central Washington, USA.
We just bought a juicer and are having a ball learning how to make vegetable juice that isn't brown and doesn't taste like mud!! All in the mix and technique, but what a joy to try something healthy and fun!!
This morning was blueberry, raspberry, grapefruit, cranberry, tangerine juice - then in the blender with a cup of soy yogurt and 3 big globs of the pulp from the juicer!! Man I'm running around like a gerbil in a wheel today1!! WHEEEEEE!!

  65. Hello Carmi!!! Oh yes it makes me thirsty!!

Btw, I was reading this Norwegian tech emagazine online and I read this article about Blackberry will go head to head with iPhone. Actually your name was also mentioned in the same article. I was wondering if it is the same Carmi that I know.

  78. OK, I'm bad. I thought it was beer. But then again, I do live in Milwaukee, the beer capital of the world. Sigh...

Hi Carmi! It's been ages. I'm just doing a bit of surfing and visiting. Michele sort of sent me. Hope the family (and you) are doing well.

    What can I say!!!!

  82. i cant seem to write this week, but I am getting a lot or WORK done, and some snow pics on a saturday morning, sunrise walk.
Life is good in the mountains

  83. It's funny because I've scrolled up and down your page a few times during my lasts few visits and every time I saw that picture I thought "nice shot, but beer, ugh". I've never been a huge fan of beer, and then I started drinking one or two here and there, but no more because it doesn't make me feel good, and then I went out with someone who turned out to be an alcoholic with beer being the drink of choice, and that stuff took on a very unpleasant and sombre connotation for me. That's my little confession on a Sunday night! :-)

But juice... YUM! I love juice. In fact, I could live on a liquid diet, because I love juice and soup. And cereal. Which is practically liquid because it's more than half milk, right? Right.

About the comment cheer, don't sweat it. I was probably off. Besides, every comment you leave is worth it's weight in gold and I can't say I've been neglected today as far as comments go.

Neither have you apparently... 92 comments, now 93 for this post alone?? Yeowza! The juice is popular, looks like.

Have a good night and a great week!
