This photo continues my series from the local supermarket's otherwise-dismal parking lot. I challenged myself to find something worthwhile in this desolate place, and ended up bringing a bunch of neat stuff home. Click here to see the first image. That little wire at the top makes me think "party line!" :D

ReplyDeleteOr maybe I'm just working too much, but your dismal supermarket series is a fantastic idea, and speaks to the problem of modern life. Jobs are jails! The rat race is a jail! We get so caught up in the everyday that we lose it's beauty in our conveniences that trap us.

ReplyDeleteThere is a TV ad here in the Philippines about an inexpensive mobile/telecoms services and their tag line is "Power to the People" And of course, our country is known for toppling presidents through People Power. Sigh.

ReplyDeleteThe wires seem to emphasize the blue in the sky. I like the splash of crimson from the reddish wires. I tend to focus on colors.

ReplyDeleteThis definitely did make me smile, but mostly because SA is in a power crisis at the moment, so these wires rarely work for us :)
ReplyDeleteI like how you took a different approach to WW. It isn't everyday photographers find something like this and take it in a positive way. As you have seen in your comments, many detest the look, or are not fond of it.

This shot reminds me of the view from my upstairs patio (over my garage) where 'above ground telephone wires' block my view because I live in an older part of this beach community in Southern California.
