Your turn: What should I write about next?
I'm not sure what you should post about next, but my Dashboard says that you have made 2 posts, Thematic Photographic 128 - Favorite Photos of the Year and Alcoholic blues. When I click on them it says those pages are not found. What's up with that?

ReplyDeleteAll doom and gloom for what the internet and technolgoy is killing off maybe a positive for the internet on how it can bring people together and how people such as my self can create a business online. I love technology and my son is being brought up in that environment he is 3 and is already navigating the virtual world (granted its selecting which Chugginton episode he wants to watch but I still think thats pretty impressive for a 3 YEAR OLD) and the digital camera wow I glad that came along I would not have given my son the use of a regular camera as film processing was pricy now you just stick it on the pooter and I can enjoy how he sees the world. Don't think the virtual reader will ever kill the book as there is nothing like the feel of pages in your hand

ReplyDeleteAs for what you should write about next, how about jobs the internet creates, or ways that it can bring people closer together?
Vicki: Sorry for the confusion. I often pre-write my entries in batches because it's the only way I can keep up with such an unpredictable research/writing schedule. They usually stay in draft form, but sometimes, like when I cross-link entries, I need to quickly publish them to get the URL.
ReplyDeleteIn these cases, I publish, grab the URL, then revert the entry to draft. But the RSS feed is so darn efficient that it picks it up even though it was "live" for barely a minute.
Hope that explains things a little better. I'm sorry if it mucked things up on your end. The new TP entry will indeed be "favorite photos of the year", while the blue-themed entry keys off of that theme.

ReplyDelete#2 - So true. I haven't had a land line for almost 5 years now. Cell phone is so much more convenient, and since I have the house to myself, there's no one to call there when I'm out.
#3 - Oh, please NOOOOOO! I love reading the newspaper in the morning. I'm a big fan of the printed text, hot tubs and bedtime are not good for computers &/or the Kindle.
#5 - Being left-handed, wearing a watch was always a major inconvenience, now I don't.
And thanks for explaining why some posts show up on the RSS feed before they're posted.

ReplyDeleteI actually worked for Yahoo! back in the late 90's...I worked at their Atlanta office for almost 2 years, then I had my daughter and quit.
This technology is all part of the evolution of our species. Adapt or....
