What do you think?
A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

What's "Libya" in Japanese, anyway?
Just had a thought: Would the world be a better place if Moammar Ghaddafi stopped dropping bombs on his own citizens and instead directed his prodigous oil-fuelled resources toward helping Japan recover from its triple-hit quake/tsunami/nuke disaster? I can't seem to stop thinking about how these two seemingly distant dots could - indeed should - be connected, and why human nature in Libya's neck of the woods is so often not human at all.

If he is helping Japan, I would guess he would want something in return- like future alliance??? My gut says its not a genuine act on his part.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, as usual, Carmi. I've been wondering over the last few days why I have never ever heard ANYONE say they want to visit Libya.
ReplyDeleteSort of like dating, isn't it? You don't always ask someone out or go out with someone because you like them. Do they have something you want? Or need? Do you date them just because they need your help?
