I thought this thought might help us start the week in a somewhat more pleasant manner. Mother Teresa always did have a way of seeing the opportunity in everything:
"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."

Your turn: Mondays. Please discuss.
Now is are our only true point of power, to live our lives as such would be wonderful start to any day.
ReplyDeleteI actually love Mondays. Just a brand new week to fill:) And today's was especially beautiful. I set my alarm for 4:25 so I could be out on my run when the sun came up. You can't tell now due to the overcast sky- but it was Stunning!!
ReplyDeleteToday is a day with no mistakes in it!
(I am so disappointed...I have tried to comment on your blog using my mobile device while I've been away. I'm not sure they got through....sorry about that. I do enjoy reading your blog posts!!)
I think today should get to play with its friends and learn to socialize before we pack it off to school for the hard years of learning to take standardized tests.

I have one of her books near me all the time. One sure way for me to make my day count is within the unexpected. It's so refreshing to step out in your day and discover the little unexpected treats, like greeting a stranger even while standing in (a long) line and knowing you put a smile on their face, or made them laugh loudly! or at the sound of a small child crying for who knows what reason...so you stop and become the class clown....and all the tears go away.....yes sometimes it's just a smile or a laugh that really makes my day!
ReplyDeleteAh... Mondaze...
ReplyDeleteI like Yakima's take on it: "Let's make Monday the new Sunday".
Failing that, I suppose we are best off doing what must be done and laying groundwork for more weekend adventures.
This Monday was great - we had a public holiday! (For Queen's Birthday - although it's actually not. Her birthday.)
ReplyDeleteAnd as I'm taking Galen's 21-day "No complaints" challenge, I'm going to say that I actually don't mind Mondays. Usually. Much.
;)
monday is the day that it sinks in that you did not win 649 on Saturday.
