On dreaming like Superman

"At first dreams seem impossible, then improbable, then inevitable."
Christopher Reeve
The most famous character that Mr. Reeve played flew with the help of well hidden wires and pulleys. Yet later in life, he managed to fly in ways no camera could ever record. As the week draws to a close, his words are bouncing around my head a little more energetically than usual.

Something's up, I think. I can't quite put my finger on it, but an inflection point seems to be looming. Time to dream a little harder.

Your turn: What are you dreaming of?

  1. Mountains. Always dreaming of mountains.

  2. Water. Sea preferably, though a lake or river will do at a pinch. The sea soothes me somehow, even when it's stormy.

  3. If I look back in my kindergarten scrapbook, my dream job was listed as "baker and dentist" so I could sustain my own business. I held on to the dream of being a baker (not so much dentist) for about three decades before acting on it.... took the culinary program at the local college, spent a couple years rising through the ranks from part time baker to bakery supervisor at a four star hotel....

Last month I opened my own bistro & bake shoppe. My dream was inevitable, and now that it's come to fruition....

    I dream about teeth. :)

  4. I dream of writing....
Writing when I want, Writing about what I love, and Writing wherever it takes me.
And THEN I do believe...I will know just what it is I truly dream of.
(Also have to say Congratulations to "Canadian Mark" for working so hard to see his dream come to pass!)

  5. I was dreaming of giant waves that were wreaking the casinos by the sea last night.

But everyone kept playing at the neighboring casinos until the waves got them, too.

(It was like Atlantic City, a place I've been to many times.)

  7. I dream of being able to get the words and stories that fill my head onto paper in a way that does them justice.
I dream of being a writer. That seems impossible and improbable, I hope it IS inevitable!

  8. suppose it's something about walking into our dreams....?

mind you, i then sometimes find that my own idea about how it's all going to work out is ...shall we say...far removed from the reality of where I am standing!!!
