Never wanted to write these words, but it's now been confirmed that the iconic founder of Apple has passed away.
More soon. For now, I don't think I have a whole lot of words to share. In many respects, an era has ended. Godspeed, Mr. Jobs. And thank you.
Your turn: Thoughts?
I just heard on tv he had passed... When it was known he had pancreatic cancer, I knew he did not have much time...I lost a friend to the same cancer... He was diagnosed stage 4 and died within 6 mos... Mr. Jobs on the other hand, stepped down to get his own affairs in order and I think was prepared for the inevitable- tho it seems unthinkable that one can... He will be remembered for all he has done but to me he will be remembered for his integrity and business sense.
ReplyDeleteI thank him (as I type the comments to this blog on the beautiful MacBook interface, and respond to texts on my iPhone). I thank him for the joy he brought to technological innovation. He will be missed in the tech and business world tremendously.
ReplyDeleteHe fought hard - he got years that helped this world to get better with his brilliance at work. I'm incredibly sad though we knew this day was coming. RIP Mr. Jobs.
ReplyDeleteThe only CEO I thought well of... rest in peace.

ReplyDeleteEloquent in your emotion and brevity, Carmi. we all feel a loss - even us PC people...
ReplyDeleteDamn that C to heck! God Speed Mr J
ReplyDeleteA very sad thing, he was far too young to leave us...I actually thought of you Carmi, and that you'd offer us something very profound about him.... when I heard the news...may he be at rest....
ReplyDeleteQuoted on a blog, taken from twitter... one word sums up how I feel...

The Apple co-founder Steve Jobs sudden demise causes a deep void in the field of modern innovative technology which appears difficult to be filled, and he will continue to live in people's memory with having digitally so enabled them as to make lives and ideas more intimately communicable. With products like I-phone and I-pod, it was jobs who had transformed the personal computer device into being really a multi-media technological miracle, encompassing the fields of voice communication, entertainment and visual treat, blurring the dividing lines of actual mundane life and virtual reality. May God bless his soul a serine peace.
