On heroes

"Without heroes we are all plain people and don't know how far we can go."
Bernard Malamud

Your turn: So who's your hero? Why?

  1. My hero is NOT anyone of notoriety- that would be obvious.. Mine is the person who has endured either physically or mentally... The one who also shows unconditional compassion, respect, one who listens, non judgmental....The one who doesn't expect something in return. If one has those qualities the rest (creativity, etc.) is gravy.

  2. My hero is my my mom. She is the strongest, most fearless woman I've ever known. She has shown me that even at her lowest, she was a fighter. Never giving up and always remaining positive. I hope I am half of the woman she is.
