On the impact of fear

So true, the re-election of George Bush after 9/11 here in the United States is proof of this statement for me. I know people that said they had to vote for GB because they feared further attacks from Osama Bin landen. Both our political parties use fear to win elections all the time. And for the most part....well human nature is human nature.
