On treasuring what matters

Ain't that the truth... Smokers, drinkers seem to turn a blind eye till they are struck w/lung cancer, emphysema, cirrhosis of the liver, etc... An ounce of prevention is a pound of..
90 days of whooping cough just taught me that lesson, for sure. It wasn't until I was on the mend, however, that I realized how much I took for granted. When people asked how I was, my reply was, "I'm fine unless I laugh or cry." Basically trying to have no emotions puts one in a very dreary place. I wouldn't recommend it.
