A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

On change and time
"They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself."
Andy Warhol
No fair - I left a comment about how time has changed me (without my permission, might I add). Sometimes though we do need to take the bull by the horns to make things happen. Waiting for time to do something is like waiting for a set of marbles to happen while watching a mountain erode.
Please note that Written Inc. has been set up so that all comments must first be moderated before they go live on the blog. I apologize for the inconvenience, but this is to ensure bots and trolls don't muck up the works. If you have any difficulty leaving a comment here as a result, please feel free to email it to carmilevy AT gmail DOT com. Thank you for your understanding.
Oh, I don't know. I turned A Significant Age this year and can see how time has changed me. Not complaining, just saying.

ReplyDeleteTime is simply the platform, change is a living thing. An evolving, an uncomfortable, wretched birthing process that somehow give way to New. To Life.
ReplyDeleteIf you sit and stagnate on the platform long enough, the change that occurs is a miserable slumping of body, soul and spirit.
Andy was right- we DO get to decide what to do with our platform, our time.
