On art and morality

"Art, like morality, consists of drawing the line somewhere."
G.K. Chesterton

Which begs the question: where do YOU draw the line?

  1. I draw the line when I know I have given it my all...and if I don't my integrity will be destroyed.

  2. Well that depends on if I'm drawing stick people or houses! :)

  3. I crop the picture...drawing a line is harder to undo.

  4. You can't be afraid to draw the line in your picture! Creating Art is something new n yet undiscovered, n most often, a happy accident!

Morally, there is a fine line between porn n nudity, which may be to what he's referring... I have clay modeled alot of nude figures, but they weren't doing scandalous actions. Is that drawing an ethical line? perhaps.

  5. I think I draw the line where I said I would, before I was in the middle of the situation.

Also, for the record - I love G.K. Chesterton. I marvel at his use of words, and howl at his wit.
