"A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence."
Jim Watkins
And so I persist. Because life is a marathon and not a sprint.
I'm guessing if you're reading this, you do, too. Which begs the question: what does persistence look like to you?
One of the mantras I discovered in dealing with my elderly parents and their health issues was "pleasent but persistent" especially dealing with doctors, home care and assisted living issues.
ReplyDeleteI don't think persistence has a 'look'.To me its more of a feeling.. the drive that makes one want to keep trying, questioning, experimenting..I guess it feels like someone who is anal about doing something that is right in their mind..and its also a drive that is within that one wants to prove to themselves that they are right... :-)
ReplyDeleteI think Homer Simpson had words about this, too...
