About this photo: Thematic celebrates all things shiny this week. Click here to share your own.On a broad, long boulevard that seems to run almost endlessly through the financial district, this delightfully out-there piece of public art is visible virtually from one end to another.
I still can't quite figure out its back story, but part of me thinks that's perfectly fine. You don't need to know every last detail about a given something. Sometimes it's enough to simply appreciate something for being remarkably different. Sometimes it's enough to be glad you had the opportunity to experience it at all.
Your turn: Anyone want to guess what the artist had in mind? Go nuts!
It is the Satellite Dish of Achilles!

To be noticed maybe? Or that his weapon is of great Mass destruction! Wow, I wish I could happen upon something like that! But, I do need to know the meaning behind this one! Talk about forcing someone off the road by pure fright! This Carmi by far takes the cake of all photos ever! For sure this artist's work won't be missed ever! :) ...I have a funny sort of shiny 2 to post yet too, although....it will never compare to this. Great capture!
