Making mobile payments make sense

I've been moderating Bell's live Twitter chat series for a few weeks, and I've got to admit it's become quite the experience. Each week, we pick a topic, then throw the floor open to participants to ask questions, get answers, share ideas, and basically turn what was once complex into something simple and understandable.

These chats are designed to help small businesses make sense of today's fast-moving technology. No matter what business you're in, it's a pretty neat way to spend a learning-filled, fast-paced hour.

This coming Tuesday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m., we're going to tackle mobile payments. On the surface, it's simple: replace cash, credit cards and debit cards with mobile device-based payment. Tap your smartphone to pay and you're on your way. In reality, there's a wider range of issues you've got to think about before you dive in. With advancements in mobile payments starting to gain speed, we thought now would be a great time to start the conversation.

Just follow #BellBiz in Twitter, or click here to dive right into the discussion.

Update: I've posted the LinkedIn event here. Now with questions!

Hope to see you then!
