On being lucky enough to know who you are

"One of the greatest tragedies in life is to lose your own sense of self and accept the version of you that is expected by everyone else."
K.L. Toth
I'm grateful for so many things, not the least of which is the fact that I've managed to retain my own sense of self, and a family that supports me unconditionally. Call me blessed. I hope everyone who reads this can say the same thing.

  1. I am very happy to report that I live my life exactly the way I want to. I would not be happy conforming to what others thing I should do and be. This doesn't mean that I don't compromise, because I do.

  2. I love this quote. It's a constant reminder that it's ok to be yourself, to accept who you really are, and that conformity can be lead to self-destruction rather than acceptance.
