The F-35A Lightning II (aka the U.S. Air Force variant of the Joint Strike Fighter) has garnered more than its fair share of negative press as it's struggled through decades of development and teething issues. But when you're on the ground watching it do its thing, it's easy to let the politics ebb away and just enjoy the moment for what it is.
