It's a weird thing, because you'd think there's more to life than odd-perspective architectural photos. But weird is a good thing, because I don't see anyone else walking right up to buildings and looking up. And that's the point: While everyone's looking one way, I'm looking another. Story of my life, actually.
If you stick a dozen people in a room and ask them to describe what they see, most of them will start talking, usually immediately. I'm not like most people. I'll walk around the room for a bit to take it in from different vantage points. I'll stare into every corner and mentally inventory every subtle texture, angle, and shadow. Eventually I'll settle on a perspective that's uniquely mine. And only then will I start sharing my own description.Because I have no interest in parroting anyone else. And my brain really is jumbled.
We may all be looking at the same building, but imagine if we all challenged ourselves a little more to see something no one else sees.
Hmm, on reflection, I suspect this isn't about architecture. Interesting how something as seemingly simple as a photo of a building - in this case my lovely and historic office before the workday begins - can get us to here.

Always good to entertain a different point of view from everyone else's.
