Clarification: We always need them. But in a world of varying degrees, sometimes that need is more acute than others.
Our pup, Calli, is no different, and she's been curling herself up next to - or on - us more often of late. Which means we're spending more time either staring at or smoothing out her fur.
It may be a small thing in life, but I wanted to remember what these moments felt like.
Because small things aren't so small after all. And I see more furry still-life moments in our family's future.
