We can choose to be saddened by the death of a tree. Or we can find light in the fact that it still contributes to the growth, health, and future of everything around it.

Some days, this life thing feels complicated. But walking through the woods and observing it through complex slivers of glass seems to help make sense of it all.

Or at least that's what it feels like. Regardless, I'll take it.
