Like this single strand, clinging tightly to the abutment that holds four lanes of traffic high above the valley below. Somehow, it finds a way to survive and thrive despite everything that gets thrown at it. No one cares for it, yet here it is.
I've made a note to keep an occasional eye on it through the winter and into next spring. It doesn't need my help, of course, but it never hurts to have someone looking out for you.
