There’s a moment when the sun reaches through the trees hanging over the river and fights to burn off the last remnants of the morning fog.

And this is what I've always imagined that moment would look like.

Which explains why getting up early to wander into the woods and down into the valley to witness it first-hand seems like a good idea.

I seriously wonder why I don’t do this more often.
