Surprise color at our feet

On a relentlessly grey Sunday afternoon when the cold drizzle seems to drain everything in this valley of its color, a tiny sprout fights its way out of the damp earth and begs to differ.

That something this stunningly green can emerge from something so monochromatic will never not be a wonder to me.
