We may not have fully appreciated the forces at work high above, but still we spent countless hours craning our necks as they painted the sky in ever-changing kaleidoscopes of shade and texture and light.
It seems to be a different story in adulthood. I don’t know how many hours most of us spend with our necks craned skyward, but I’m willing to guess the number is smaller now than it was then. Pity that.
The view? Still wondrous. So are the stories.
If only we allowed ourselves to look up with childlike curiosity. If only we took the time.
