Where we stare into the azure waters

Every once in a while, I’ll stand on the shore, stare toward the horizon, and wonder about the stories playing out on boats sailing the thin line between here, nowhere, anywhere, and everywhere.

And as I feel my feet sink into the sand, I’ll wonder if the unseen strangers on those boats are looking toward shore and thinking the same thing.

I sure hope so.
