Where yesterday meets tomorrow London, ON September 2023 This photo originally shared on Instagram |
After languishing in the shadows of a dusty industrial neighborhood for a few years, the place was repurposed as a showpiece multipurpose entertainment complex. As urban renewal projects go, this is the bar that all others now aim for.
So it felt somewhat right to quietly walk through the lovingly restored masterpiece as the setting sun cast all sorts of magic across the ancient concrete and brick.
A sign, perhaps, that dark chapters eventually end, and what comes next is often well beyond what could have been imagined at the time. If, that is, we choose to dream - and act - big.
Maybe that’s a broader metaphor, too. We’ll come back here soon to explore that further.
