Look way up London, ON August 2023 This photo originally shared on Instagram |
Filled with people who behave reprehensibly.
Who care about themselves first. And others less. If at all.
Who believe the rules don’t apply to them.
And while I realize there’s nothing the rest - thankfully majority - of us can do to fix or eliminate them, we still have options.
Like looking for beauty in places where we might not otherwise expect to find it.
And taking the time to focus on the good that surrounds us.
Instead of on the forces of darkness.
So my contribution today is this recent capture of a mural in a downtown alleyway. It can’t repair the damaged streetscape below, or the damaged lives of those who live in its shadows. But perhaps it can inspire just enough light to begin changing the tide.
It’s got to start somewhere, after all. Why not here?
Where are YOU finding the light?
