The why doesn’t matter all that much. What attracts my attention - the ignored, the everyday, the below-the-radar, the ordinary-that-isn’t-so ordinary - may not necessarily be what attracts anyone else.
And that, frankly, is the way it should be.
Because I can’t force you to like a certain song any more than I can get you jazzed about NASA documentaries or deep dish apple crumble. Taste is a personal thing.
Even if it involves natural gas fittings deep in the shadows of the suburban jungle.
