Transitioning...
Laval, QC, May 2008
Another in a series of photos that align with this week's Thematic Photographic theme, light. If you haven't posted your photo or link yet, it's not too late (this theme runs until this coming Wednesday, and you've got the whole week to join in as often as you wish.) Click here to start the fun.I often look up at the sky and think that someone must have painted it. How else can we explain the exquisite, ever-changing scenes taking place just above our heads? And to think all we need to do is look up...
Your turn: What does the sky near you look like right now? Does it make you feel anything?
Carmi, this is ... I'm just... gobsmacked. That's stunning. Simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteThis photo immediately brought to mind the Painted Desert in Arizona. Only the colours in your image are much more vivid. Stunning photograph, Carmi.
ReplyDeleteI'll be chiming in with my "Light" themed photo any day now. I've been experimenting, and am tickled at what I've accomplished, but it's not exactly a brilliant photo. And with a theme like "Light", I would want to do something that dazzles. Y'know?

Georgeous colors! My sky is foggy and milky looking right now. Makes me want to read Wuthering Heights again :)
ReplyDeleteHi Carmi: the sky right now is grey, a bit of blue, sort of damp... it's been raining overnight. It makes me glad that I won't have to water my flowers today!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, the sky is ever changing. Aren't we lucky that we can take the time to look up and observe?
hi carmi,
ReplyDeleteyour photo took me back to the shores of Lake Superior at Hattie's Cove.
today, the sky is a clearer blue than usual for Deforest City and speaks to me:
"warm up the bike, it's time to visit Long Point."
gah
as well, thank you for the thoughtful comment re cycling, on earlier post back at It Strikes; it is now a part of another post
Oh Carmi, I'm quite sure Someone painted it. It's lovely
ReplyDeleteI, too, often look at the sky from my home balcony and cannot stop taking photos (+ of my kids + of me).
ReplyDeletegosh, carmi. this is such a beautiful picture.
