I imagine they’ve both been here forever, and could tell stories of a vibrant neighbourhood that once hummed with factories and stores and constant life.
Those days are sadly long gone, yet these two storefronts with the hand-painted signs out front remain, anchoring a community whose lights refuse to flicker out.
In the end, we all need clean clothes, and those of us with hair still need the occasional cut. Life plays out, often defiantly, within these time-worn brick walls, even if the world around them continues its attempts to leave all this behind.
