Heading west

Cool news from my world of geekitude: I've been invited to the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA.

Seriously.

My plane leaves Monday afternoon. Well, not my plane, per se. A plane. On which I will be a passenger. Preferably eating pretzels.

Your turn: What should I do when I get there?

  1. Carmi, this is exciting! Why were you invited? Are they going to offer you a job?

The first thing you should do is tour the place and meet Bill Gates, I guess.

Let us know all about it when you get back, okay?

  2. Gee, I don't get invited much anywhere these days. Well, you surely need to blog and post photos and give us the 'in' stuff.

1st thing, well take a picture of course, you in front of Head office would be appropriate :)
Good Luck, safe flight, I look forward to the update :)

  4. Does this mean we have to call you "Mr." Carmi now? You are so in the big leagues! What should you do? Be forthright as always -- that's what got you invited there, after all. Enjoy the experience!

  5. I have no suggestions for what you should do, other than enjoy yourself!

    And hey, congratulations!

  6. Bill Gates was on "Biography" yesterday afternoon. I have friends who work for Microsoft who have been there, and they say it is Quite the Place to be.

    Have fun, and enjoy.

  7. Visit the Flight Museum, if you're into that kind of thing, and the EMP, the Experience Music Project, both more fun than the Space Needle!

  8. You need to do the underground tour in Seattle. Also hit Pike's Place Market. And for fun, ride a ferry. And if you have time, come down to Portland and say Hi! Have fun!

  9. Don't take any pictures of Macintoshes on a loading dock.
