A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

Puget Sound at dusk
I took this picture on approach to Seattle-Tacoma's airport. If I'm going to be marooning my wife alone at home for a few days while she works double-time to get her two classes - and our kids - ready for the new school year, then I should at least be rewarded with a nice view or two along the way. Right?
I must say, this is a most pretty part of the world. And they have mountains. Bless them.
More later...I've been busy with words and pictures since I got here.

ReplyDeleteWonderful! It was dark when I arrived a few weeks ago, so thanks for the photo!
ReplyDeleteYou should check out Vancouver some time, Carmi - same mountains and ocean, but our money's prettier and we take Ontario dollars at par :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is my one of my favorite places to visit in our beautiful country.
ReplyDelete*little sigh* melancholy memories~

That's beautiful!!! If you like views, make a trip to the South Island of New Zealand sometime... It's beautiful!!! It might be one of those trips that you save for when the kids have grown and flown the coop though! :o)
ReplyDeleteAnother great moment captured, Carmi. Have a wonderful trip! jk
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. I always know that if life is becoming too much, I can wander over here for a peaceful view and a needed break.
ReplyDeleteCan you pretty please send me your wife's link? I had it but lost it in my mess, lol.
Breathtakingly beautiful. Great photo as usual.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm just 90 miles north in Bellingham, WA, Carmi! Similar topography: evergreens, Puget Sound, islands, foothills, mountains. Just hundreds of thousands fewer people.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying your visit in the region.
Ah, Carmi, thanks for pointing me here. That is such a beautiful photo. Brought tears to my eyes, and heck, I'm here at home! Port Townsend, WA, that is.
ReplyDeleteJust got your comment -- thank you for the encouragement.
ReplyDeleteI have had many amazing views flying in and out of SeaTac but this year was the first time I got to gaze upon Mount Rainier from my departure gate.
