A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

ReplyDeleteBrown sugar, you taste so good.
ReplyDeletemichele sent me.
yes, when the subject matter is monochromatic, its ALL ABOUT the lights and shadows. a good study!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. They're so clean looking. Anything cubic is okay in my book.
ReplyDeleteAnd the first time I ever heard of sugar cubes was up in your land. We were at a rotating restaurant in Toronto. Or maybe near Niagara Falls. And they had sugar cubes AND brown sugar cubes. And I think I had like 3 of them, straight, before my parents stopped me.
I miss rotating restaurants.
Yup! Especially when you embiggen them.
ReplyDeleteThe texture of the cubes is fascinating, i honestly never thought sugar could be so interesting!
ReplyDeleteThank you for broadening my perspective on natural sweets.
This picture makes my teeth ache.
ReplyDeletevery granular.
ReplyDeleteYes, they do. They look like they have some brown or raw sugar. Do they?
ReplyDeleteYes. And brown sugar cubes would have made a much better castle wall. We always only had the white ones. :(
ReplyDeleteGreat macro Carmi. I like your style and you have a good eye.
ReplyDeleteI will have two lumps please!
ReplyDeleteand YES...this was definitely worth taking Carmi...nice job! :)
I don't take sugar in my coffee but when in a restaurant/cafe and these are on the table I just have to pop one in my mouth!

ReplyDeleteHave a good one.....
Oh yes, they most certainly do...make an interesting & lovely photograph! They are so ABSTRACT, and the angles, textures and shadows are thought-provoking. Thank you for another worthwhile photo, and for giving us all Pause For Thought, once again. :)
ReplyDeletei agree.....very cool!
ReplyDeleteI think blogger ate my first comment... must really be hungry as this seems to be going around.
ReplyDeleteI love the texture of the cubes and the symmetry. What type of macro lens do you have....
Yes they do make a worthy picture. I have never seen brown sugar cubes. Brings back memories of making my Mom buy sugar cubes so I could take them to the riding stables every week when I went for my riding lesson. I used to eat a few of them but the horses normally got the majority LOL.
ReplyDeleteLori
