A brief-yet-ongoing journal of all things Carmi. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll reach for your mouse to click back to Google. But you'll be intrigued. And you'll feel compelled to return following your next bowl of oatmeal. With brown sugar. And milk.

Wonderful imagery!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!

Happy WW Carmi! Once again a great shot and caption :) Thanks for my Tuesday evening smile!
ReplyDeleteI did a pun this week with mine in honor of your clever wordplay ;)
Well, they look very neat and tidy to me. I think they're still in the hardware store and haven't been used for anything...yet. :)
ReplyDeleteMy post is here if you'd like to visit. :)
Awesome shot Carmi.
ReplyDeleteChains help hold things together. Tightly and safely.
I love how you got in close on this one. You made us see an ordinary object in a new way. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteMy WW post for this week is up with pictures of spring flowers.
Very nice! Your pics are always very good!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a reason for those chains to be hanging like that... now I'll go to bed with that in my mind! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
My post today: "Soccer stars".
inextricably linked indeed. so clear a shot.
ReplyDeleteNice composition. Happy WW! :)
ReplyDeleteNot to post a negative comment, don't mean to...but captions are supposed to be the first thing popping into your head.
ReplyDeleteIn my city lately, hopefully these chains will be used to forever hold back the serial rapist/murderer that is plaguing Reno :)
On a lighter note, possibly really wide snow chains :)
that´s the sound of a man working on a chain gang ..... happy ww
ReplyDeleteHmm, the chains could be a modern art windchime.
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat photo!
ReplyDeleteI don't to be in chain is what gets to my head seeing this photo!
ReplyDeleteInteresting shot - very abstract almost. I used to be a big Alice in Chains fan - back in the day ;)
ReplyDeleteThose chains are for linking big things--boats to piers, maybe?
ReplyDeleteI love shots of things that show patterns. This was no exception. Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteThose chains are keeping something out or in?
ReplyDeleteWow, great shot....I think Alice in Chains is a great caption but...
ReplyDeletethese chains I think are actually a fence.
I love taking pictures like this! Great one, Carmi!!
ReplyDeleteThey are used to chain your bike to a pole. hehe....
ReplyDeleteLooking for that missing link! Great shot! Have a great day!
ReplyDeletePerhaps this chain-link curtain is to keep people out...or in!
ReplyDeleteInteresting choice for a WW, making the ordinary anything but.
:)
Chains could be good use for decorations or fence. Happy WW!

ReplyDeleteNice picture. I'm thinking - "Industrial blinds" or a 21st century version of the old 60's strings of beads for a door way.
ReplyDeleteYou know Carmi, some (okay most) people just take pictures but not you. You take pictures that invoke thought and reflection on life - - -it's a wonderful gift and you excel at it. Regardless of what these chains are for the amount of thought that you gave every one to ponder outweighs anything else. Oh and congrats on your recent "getting noticed" again in the media for your expertise. One day I'm going to say "Hey I KNOW that guy!!"
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Holly
Hehe, that band rocks!! Happy WW :-)
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me ... Goth decor? I can totally see this in some downtown punk club.
ReplyDeleteI won't even tell you my FIRST thought. *smack selfs*
Have a good one, Carmi!
