We're still taking submissions for this week's Thematic Photographic theme, sweet. It's most certainly NOT too late, and you can share your photo by clicking here.
Next week's theme is shadow, and if you come back at precisely 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the first shadow-themed pic will be up. I've begun posting the theme a little early to give you a chance to mull over how you'll explore things over the coming week.
Your turn: Favorite jam. Please discuss. And what would you say if you met Mr. Smucker in person?
My very favorite jam is raspberry on scones (aka biscuits). I have a hard time with the seeds, but it's worth it!
ReplyDelete"Hey, Mr. Smucker -- wanna jam?"
Right now, in my fridge is a jar of homemade blackberry jam hand picked and cooked by little me. I had a Martha moment. It's very tasty.
ReplyDeleteHey Mr. Smucker....your name rhymes with trucker.
Wow, that picture is sooo sharp.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW! Come check out mine, it's up here.
Not much of a jam/jelly lover myself. But I guess something in the strawberry family would probably suit me if I were inclined that way.
ReplyDeleteI'm digging the idea for the next TP theme too. Not sure exactly what I'll do with it yet, but the possibilities, as they say, are endless. All matter casts a shadow, sooo...
Kissan brand is popular here and i prefer mixed fruit. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI prefer Strawberry or blackberry ... sweet photo.
ReplyDeleteI'd ask Mr. Smucker to make some black raspberry jam. It's so hard to find and it's my all-time fav.
ReplyDeleteLove your shot, Carmi. The color and texture are just beautiful! :D
You do good, Carmi. Rhubarb preserves are my favorite. They don't have seeds either.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW! I'm on the road today.
..
I like the way it looks - but not the orange marmalade tastes.
ReplyDeleteI think thats what it is??
I have a cupboard full of concord jelly from my grape arbor thats pretty darn good, tho!
Great shot! Makes me wish I had some toast, butter and jam.

wow looks so yummy :) nice shot!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW to you :)
Favorite jam? Anything homemade, but blueberry and mixed berry probably top the list. I love the way you've captured the light flowing through the bottle in this one.
ReplyDeleteCan we share older posts for TP too? I've got some shadow pictures that I really love. My favorite has been accepted by a literary magazine (due out this month!) so I had to take that one down but I've still got some others I'm really happy with.
Mmm... mum's homemade blackcurrant. I could drown in it.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW

Sweet shot! Uh, sorry about that. Since I found you through WW I've added you to my feed reader. Check out my blog, if you have a chance, as well as my photo library. http://holeinthedonut.com
ReplyDeleteNeat photo. Reminds me of a scene in a film I once saw in which one of the characters used jars of jam almost like stained glass.
ReplyDeleteShe piled them in front of a window and let the light shine through.
i love jam especially blueberry!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is apricot of rhubarb but sweet it is. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteBlackberry or red raspberry is my favorite, or maybe pear preserves, or apple butter, or wait - marmelade!! Who can choose just one??!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Smucker, lower your prices.
hmmm someone gave me some strawberry jam yesterday and it's yummy. :)
ReplyDeletei love how the inside shines through in your photo..hmmm, for me it would be any of the berry family:) oh and i hope i can join thematic photography!
ReplyDeleteThat looks good enough to eat!
ReplyDeleteGuess my favorite would be raspberry.
"Hey Mr. Smucker--your jams are berry berry good!"
Hope you can stop by my wordless
When I was young, my mother would gather guavas, and cook them and make jelly out of them. When I lived in Haiti, guava jelly, jam, paste were all favorites.

ReplyDeleteMr Smucker I have been in many Jams in my life but none sweeter than yours!

My grannie's homemade strawberry is my absolute favorite!
ReplyDeletePretty jelly!

ReplyDeleteVery clear picture! My favorite is strawberry jam!
ReplyDeleteWow... that is a really cool picture. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit to my place today.. cool shot!!
ReplyDeleteBlueberry. When we were kids we'd pick bluberries down the street. My dad poked holes in cans and put string through them so we could put them around our necks - leaving 3 girls to pick blueberries with both hands! We'd get home and my Mom would make blueberry muffins. Any wonder why blueberry would be my favorite jam? Nice shot of the jam! I'm going shadow hunting now :)
ReplyDeleteI will be back later to check on the thematic theme, so that I can join next week. I'm quote proud of my WW this week, I think one of my achievement...and hope you find time to visit me. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Whatsoever - it's a fascinating capture

I don't like Strawberry, so I guess anything else is okay. I prefer the all fruit stuff as some of the other stuff is just to sweet. Concord Grape ROCKS!
ReplyDeleteOh, unless it's HOMEMADE Strawberry, then it's awesome.
ReplyDeletejam is my speciality, but not mr. smuckers, i love to make my own. my favorites include blueberry and red pepper jelly. mmmmmmmmmmmmm. i've always wanted to make marmalade in the winter, when the seville oranges come in season, but i hate marmalade to eat, it's more of the sunshine in a jar on your shelf idea during the snowy winter days that captures my interest.
