Prettily frozen
London, ON, March 2009 [Click to create a blizzard]
When you wake up in the morning to find the wondervan festooned with the entrails of winter, you can either grumble about the deicing job you're about to be forced into or you can reach for your camera and take a moment to remember something that exists for barely a blink.
In the end, life's not about what happens to you. It's about what you're willing to do about it.
Your turn: The power of attitude. Please discuss.
Oops, almost forgot: This photo begins the wind-down of our "transparent" theme. It's not too late to share yours. Just click here and have at it. Next week's Thematic Photographic theme will be...
Kitchen
The first entry will go live on this site tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7:00 p.m. EDT. I look forward to seeing what you come up with, as kitchens are such vibrant playgrounds for anyone with a camera and an idea. Even if it's half-baked (sorry, couldn't resist!)
Oooh, beautiful. I have some very pretty frost shots that I need to post - b4 the theme changes! :D
ReplyDeleteCarmi,

When you have a garage, you miss out on this simple beauty. Can you tell my attitude is usually "Lemons? wahoo--LEMONADE!!"?? :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not just your ability to capture the moment in a photo, Carmi; I have always been drawn to your ability to communicate your thought attached to that moment.
Oooo...and I DO have one little entry for "transparent". And, I'm smiling right now because it's lemonade! ha! I wasn't even thinking about it when I said the above :).

Winter Wonderlands DO exist in microcosms!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous photo!!! I love snow crystals because they are all unique.
I miss the beautiful patterns that frost makes. It's one of the things that I still love about the cold weather.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, a true example of nature's painting. While I don't miss the cold and the snow, I will admit to missing beautiful frosted windows.
ReplyDeleteAnd kitchens, now there's a theme I can get behind, starting right from my blog header :-).
I don't care for snow, although we've gotten a lot of it here on the east coast....but this is a great shot!
ReplyDeletethis is a really beautiful shot! I love snow flakes and frost.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image, Carmi. I will be happy to see your shots of blossoms though. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! We often overlook the common.
ReplyDeleteAttitude is one area if life where we ALWAYS have a choice...
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and I so needed your wise words "In the end, life's not about what happens to you. It's about what you're willing to do about it" today. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the kitchen theme since it is what I do (I'm in kitchen & bath design-sales).
I went with words this Weds.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am so jealous of that marco .. and I am loving the Kitchen theme, the timing is perfect .. you'll see why
Beautiful, it reminds me of the lace my Great-Grandmother used to tat.
ReplyDeleteTabbikat's Thoughts
